Cooper the Dog Visits Head Start

Cooper the dog visited  all the Head Start Centers on March 1st, 2017.   Cooper and his companion Stephanie Baker visited the classrooms and talked to the children about the importance of finding time to read everyday.  Stephanie read books to the children of Noland Center, Elgin  Station Center and Sgt. Shriver Center.    This visit was a kick off to our “Read-Aloud Challenge” that we are having March 1st through March 31st, 2017.  We are asking all parents to read aloud to their children  everyday for the entire month of March.    Reading aloud to your children helps with Language Development, Brain Development, Literacy Skill Building and instills a love of reading.
