QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or an external diploma and experience caring for pre-school age children and working with parents.  Ability to work well with a wide variety of people and to understand and to follow directions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises all aspects of the Washington County Head Start Food Service Program. Implements the Child Care Food Program of the Head Start Center according to the goals and objectives set forth in the Head Start Performance Standards and the USDA Child Care Food Program guidelines. Oversees and assists in preparation of meals at various H.S. sites. Oversees and maintains established standards of sanitation, safety, and food preparation. Serves as substitute Cook as needed. Develops menus and obtains nutrition consultation as defined in Head Start guidelines.

Shriver Center

QUALIFICATIONS:  
High school diploma or equivalent plus minimum three years experience in food preparation. Prefer A.A. degree in Nutrition or Food Service related field. Two years of supervisory experience. Intermediate computer skills required. Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Main duties include: providing a stimulating and age-appropriate environment, managing daily classroom operations, development of lesson plans, participation in related health, nutrition, social services and parent involvement, providing direction to classroom volunteers, maintaining classroom and supplies, supervising children, taking special needs into consideration when planning daily activities, recruiting volunteers, conducting parent orientation and education, completion of necessary documentation, organizing of parent-child activities, conducting home visits/ parent conferences as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:   

Requires a minimum of Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Experience working with Two-Year Olds in a center-based setting preferred. Additional education may be used to substitute for center-based experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main duties include: providing a stimulating and age-appropriate environment, managing daily classroom operations, development of lesson plans, conducting screenings and on-going child assessments, participation in related health, nutrition, social services and parent involvement, providing direction to classroom volunteers, maintaining classroom and supplies, supervising children, taking special needs into consideration when planning daily activities, recruiting volunteers, conducting parent orientation and education, completion of necessary documentation, organizing of parent-child activities, conducting home visits/ parent conferences as required, assisting in locking the building at end of program day.
